Palace of Sans-Souci and the Citadel La Ferriere - the fortress in northern Haiti is the largest in the western hemisphere and probably the most important historical place in the country. It is located on the top of a hill overgrown with tropical vegetation in the area of the National Historical Park La Citadelle. Along with the nearby Sans-Souci palace it has been entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The trip to the fortress takes approx. 30 min, on horses via a mountain road (with the help of an assistant). Then drive to Bassin Bleu (Blue Lagoon), enjoy wonderful views of the bay and the city. A walk to the Bassin Bleu waterfall.
