One of the most popular resorts in Turkey, got years enjoying a growing interest among tourists from all over Europe. It is a modern tourist resort, known for its beautiful views, convenient location and extremely rich nightlife. Marmaris is surrounded by hills covered with greenery, which in many places almost vertically descend to the sea, creating unforgettable landscapes.
The bay shines with the turquoise colour of the sea, and the largest marina in Turkey impresses with panache. The ideal location, close to many tourist attractions, makes the programme of educational trips here extremely interesting. Among others, you can go to Pamukkale, Ephesus, Dalyan or even the Greek island of Rhodes, which is only 45 min away from Marmaris by boat! You can also explore Marmaris itself, which history dates back to the 4th century B.C. Marmaris is the second largest after Bodrum entertainment centre in Turkey. There are many discos, bars, pubs and restaurants. The city that is sleepy and lazy during the day, awakes at night, booming with musik and a wonderful holiday atmosphere. About 8 km from the centre of Marmaris, on the other side of the bay, lies Icmeler. This is a very luxurious district, where the hotels are definitely of a better class than in Marmaris. The destination also offers a much prettier, sandy beach. There is a centre with shops, bars and restaurants, but the town itself is a lot quieter than Marmaris and is ideally suited for families with children. For those looking to spend the day in peace, on a gorgeous beach, and in the evening, enjoy the nightlife, Icmeler offers convenient transport via local mini-buses to the entertainment centre of Marmaris (in high season they run every 15 min). Turunc - which in Turkish means "Citrus", is a small, very charmingly situated tourist destination, approx. 12 km from Icmeler and 20 km from the centre of Marmaris. A former fishing village, surrounded by green hills, with a pretty beach over 1.5 km long, it is ideal to relax in peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. An advantage of this place is also the easy transport to Marmaris, which takes place via local mini-buses or boats that in high season run every hour from Turunc port to Marmaris (duration of the cruise approx. 40 minutes). Turunc drowns in green, and the bay shimmers with thousands of colours of crystal clear waters, abundant in fish and seafood, thanks to which there are many restaurants here that serve excellent fish dishes. - one of the largest resorts on the coast - sandy beaches surrounded by green hills - yacht marina with many restaurants - excellent conditions for watersports - ideal place for enthusiasts of sea cruises
Sarigerme - this is above all a beautiful, wide, sandy beach that stretches out for kilometers and is considered one of the best in Turkey. The sand is a golden colour, it is tiny and soft, perfect both for children and those actively resting, and additionally, there is a beautiful view of the bay and scenic islets scattered about. It is also the perfect place for those who value resting in the surroundings of nature, with a stone pine forest, which decorates the surrounding hills and with a terrain surrounded by a National Park, for here also appear the Caretta caretta turtles known to us from Dalyan. Due to this, the beach is peaceful and quiet, which fosters real relaxation away from the hustle and bustle, even though along the beach several large, luxury hotels have been built - tourist villages with many attractions on site, such as waterparks for children, a wide range of possible sports, animations during the day and in the evenings. The size of the beach, however, guarantees relaxation in peace and quiet. The destination is also a great getaway base to numerous excursions organised from here, e.g. to the ruins of ancient Ephesus, the miracle of nature - Pamukkale - or the Greek Rhodes. There are also purely recreational trips, like the mud baths in Dalyan, a cruise around 12 islands from Fethiye, or a walk through the Saklikent gorge. Sarigerme is just 15 km away from the international airport in Dalaman, it is a very short transfer from the airport to the hotel, which makes the journey here exceptionally comfortable and recommended for families with children.
