Didyma is a small town and also a popular holiday resort located on the western coast of Türkiye in a bay of the Aegean Sea. Its name derives from the name of the ancient city, which in ancient times was known for the famous Oracle situated at the Temple of Appolo. Regardless of the weight of their problems, both ordinary mortals and statesmen deciding on the fate of countries came here for a prophecy. Today the ruins of the great Temple of Appolo are a flagship of the city and attract tourists from all over the world. Didyma also encourages with its long sandy beaches, light blue sea and an excellent microclimate with many sunny days and warm winters. The residents of larger Turkish cities and the British appreciated it a long time ago by building their holiday homes here. Didyma is also a popular place for sailing enthusiasts - one of the largest yacht ports in Türkiye is located here. The beautiful marina, in addition to an extensive infrastructure, attracts with cosy pubs and local restaurants. In addition to a historical heritage and excellent conditions for recreation, lovers of nature and beautiful landscapes will also find something here for themselves - nearby there is a scenically located Lake Bafa, surrounded by a landscape park and River Buyuk flowing into the Aegean sea. Amateurs of Turkish sounds will love the local bars, discos and clubs, where in addition to disco hits you can also listen to live folk music. Also worth visiting the famous beach Altinkum, which in translation means "golden sand" and depicts its undoubted qualities. Thanks to the favourable conditions you can go windsurfing and diving. Near the beach, in the town of the same name, the still growing hotel and recreation base attracts more and more eager holidaymakers every year. Despite the developed tourist infrastructure and many attractions, Didyma is still a peaceful town and an ideal for carefree holidays among friends and family.

Pilot: tourists are looked after by a Polish resident, whose tasks include help upon arrival, departure and stay, as well as registration for local trips.

Visas: required. Entry of Polish citizens into Türkiye is possible only with a valid passport and visa.
It is not possible to enter Türkiye upon showing ID.
A tourist visa is valid for 90 days for a 180 day period (a multiple-entry visa).
To obtain a visa, the passport must meet the following requirements:
- the minimum validity of a passport to obtain an e-Visa or a visa obtained at the airport is 180 days from the date of entry into Türkiye
- at least one blank page.
A tourist visa can be obtained:

1) through the ITAKA Travel Agency.
ITAKA offers mediation in obtaining the visa to Türkiye.
The fee for the visa and mediation is 99 PLN/person and is lower than the fee that one has to pay if buying the visa at the airport in Türkiye.
The visa can be bought in the Customer Zone no later than 4 days before the departure.
Detailed instructions
The visa will be sent to the email address provided and will also be available in the Customer Zone no earlier than 14 days before the departure date and no later than 4 days before the departure date. Upon receipt of information about the visa it should be downloaded, printed and taken with you to the airport.
Issuance of a visa via Itaka Travel Agency is possible only for the citizens of the Republic of Poland.
If fewer than 4 days remain until departure, applying for a visa is possible only through the E-visa system (https://www.evisa.gov.tr/pl/).

2) online via the E-visa platform.
A tourist visa can also be obtained via the E-visa system: https://www.evisa.gov.tr/pl/
The fee for the visa is 20 USD/person. The visa should be printed and taken with you to the airport.

3) after arrival, at the airport.
It is also possible to buy the visa upon arrival in Türkiye at border crossing sales points (cost respectively: 30 USD/25 EUR/20 GBP per person, payable in cash).
It is recommended to purchase visas via the electronic system. When crossing the Turkish border, the person entering may be asked to present valid medical insurance (for Itaka Travel Agency Customers, this is the travel document which contains the insurance certificate no.) or proof of means of subsistence.

Holders of temporary passports can purchase a visa neither through the E-visa system nor at the border.

Currency: Turkish lira (TRY); 1 EUR = approx. 18 TRY.

Tips: the rule applies that you give as much as you can afford. Earnings in Türkiye are low and tips are often a great financial help. It is customary to tip drivers on local trips and waiters - approx. 5-10%.

Exploring the impressive remains of the city, among others, the Temple of Hadrian, the Temple of Domitian, Celsus library, baths and the theatre. Pamukkale — a trip that combines elements of history with admiring nature. A walk among the world-unique snow-white terraces known as the cotton fortress.
