Valfrejus (1550 m a.s.l.) is a modern, beautifully designed ski resort, located at the foot of Pointe du Fréjus (2934 m a.s.l.), in the Maurienne Valley, close to the Italian border, near the famous Savoyard 3 Valleys. The town, with buildings in Savoyard style, completed with wood and stone, it has an intimate, excluded from traffic centre with restaurants, bars and shops, which you can get to directly from the pistes located above it. The main square in the winter often turns into an ice rink or hockey pitch, and during fairs you can sample local specialties, including Savoy cheeses. Despite the rapid development, which Valfrejus has been experiencing over the past 15 years, it still retains its special charm and Alpine atmosphere. Easy and intermediate runs prevail on the slopes, there are also several advanced runs and a snowpark. 11 ski lifts operate on more than 60 km of runs, the upper station of the lift is located at an altitude of 2737 m a.s.l., on Punta Bagna, from where you can admire magnificent views. One of the most interesting runs is the blue Le Jeu which leads to the former bunker Pas du Roc. Thanks to the excellent geographical location of Valfrejus, it is an ideal starting point for a ski safari in attractive ski resorts. It is just over ten kilometers from here to La Norma and Aussois, available as part of the Eski-Mo ski pass, a little further from Orelle, from where you can go to 3 Valleys by gondola lifts, or via the 13-km long Frejus tunnel reach the Italian Bardonecchia within 15 minutes.
Pilot: tourists are looked after by a Polish resident, whose tasks include help upon arrival, departure and stay, as well as registration for local trips. Depending on the number of clients, the resident may live in a place that is fairly distant from others, so direct contact with the resident will not always be possible.
