Dalyan Tour — high on the cliff, in a bend of the river, above the fascinating ancient port town of Kaunos, there are magnificent tombs carved in the rock. The Dalyan Delta with its golden sandy beach is a nature reserve and a refuge for Caretta caretta sea turtles and blue crabs. Route: a visit to the small town of Dalyan in the middle of a wide delta, one of the few preserved paradise sites of natural beauty and interesting history. Visiting the ruins of ancient Kaunos. The town was founded around the 9th century BC. It used to be a Mediterranean port city, but over the centuries the mud from the Dalyan River cut the city off from the sea and today it lies a few kilometers from the shore. Kaunos is famous for the tombs of kings carved in the rock - its inhabitants believed in resurrection and placed food, money, jewelry and other valuable objects in the tombs (however, they were stolen and have not survived to this day). Then a boat trip to the site of mud baths - it is believed that they help with rheumatic diseases, as well as cleanse and revitalize the skin. Supposedly, 1 mud bath makes you 10 years younger! When the body is covered with mud you have to dry out in the sun and then wash the mud away in a sulfur pool with a temperature of 40 degrees. Further along the route there is a magnificent sandy Iztuzu Beach (7-kilometer long), one of the last breeding areas for turtles (Caretta caretta) being one of the endangered species protected by UNESCO. From May to October, the turtles lay their eggs here, look after them and finally take the children turtles to the sea. Price - approx. 40 EUR

A visit to the House of the Virgin Mary on the hill of Solmissos is a spiritual experience. When the chapel was discovered here, it turned out that it was built on the foundations of the house where Virgin Mary had probably lived at the end of her life. It is an important pilgrimage site and was also visited by John Paul II. Route: Transport from the hotel in Dalyan to Selçuk, passing the picturesque Bafa Lake and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, then the Museum of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary, located on the hill of Coressus, and then exploring Ephesus, beginning with the entrance to the ancient city through the upper gate.
