Local excursions
Balchik - White City — afternoon trip to the town of Balchik called the White City due to the colour of the stone that was once used to erect houses. Visiting the Quiet Nest - the summer residence of the Romanian queen Mary and the botanical garden situated right next to it with 3 thousand species of plants, including 250 species of cacti. Drive and walk around the picturesque cape of Kaliakra, the monumental cliffs where there was an enormous fortress located at the farthest point. Kaliakra, in free translation "wonderful cape", once a great inspiration for artists, today is the most beautiful part of the Bulgarian coast. In the evening, a traditional, rich in wine and Rakia Bulgarian feast combined with a folklore programme and show of "Nestinarka dance” on burning coal. Ancient Nessebar — a trip to the historical Nessebar, scenically located on the peninsula, inscribed onto the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The architecture of the city, one of the oldest in Europe, is considered to be the best-preserved medieval building in the Balkans. Nessebar, called the pearl of the Black Sea and the symbol of the Orthodox civilization, is the biggest attraction of the coast. A walk through the labyrinth of colourful cobblestone streets, visiting for instance the church of St. Stephen and St. Spas, lunch at restaurant, free time. Day trip. Varna - Dolphinarium — a trip to the dolphinarium in Varna combined with a panoramic tour of the city. The programme includes visiting the church of Varna - the second largest sacred building in Bulgaria, and free time in the city centre. An opportunity to admire the show of dolphins in the only Dolphinarium on the Balkan Peninsula. Perfect entertainment for both adults and children. Pirate party — half-day expedition on a pirate ship, especially attractive for children. The crew and equipment of the ship make everyone feel here like a true sea bandit. Jeep Safari — amazing off-road in the area of Golden Sands Nature Park, to places located in the mountains, away from the resort. The programme includes exciting Jeep racing and air rifle shooting. For amateur photographers there is ample opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful wild scenery. A trip for fans of active leisure, who are not afraid of challenges. The fun is accompanied by magnificent views, and the adventure begins right after shutting the car doors! The programme includes lunch outdoors - barbecues.
