The very well prepared ski runs are available for almost 6 months and supported by a modern and very efficient artificial snow system. The city of Aosta is called the Alpine Rome, because its history goes back to the glory of the Roman Empire. Around Aosta across the entire valley there are many Roman ruins and Medieval castles. The region is famous for its delicious cooking and high-quality wines.
