Rome and its neighbors are the most interesting suggestions for visiting the Eternal City with the Vatican and visiting the most interesting places in the vicinity of two capitals. It is two days of exploring the metropolis and one day outside the city to break away from the hustle and bustle. Everyone will find something interesting for themselves!
An unusual combination: Rome and the glacier! Worlds so different, only 130 km apart. So close to the Eternal City lies Gran Sasso d'Italia - that is, the Great Italian Stone or the Sleeping Giant. It is the highest massif of the Apennines with the Corno Grande summit (2,912 m above sea level), from where you can see the Adriatic Sea on a clear day. It was here, in the mountain shelter of Campo Imperatore, that Mussolini was imprisoned. Even in the mountains, we meet the history of Italy. Total route: approx. 300 km.
