1. DAY.Meeting of participants at the airport. Flight to Sicily. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Free time. Dinner, overnight.
2. DAY. PALERMO - MONREALE (route: approx. 20 km) Breakfast. Visiting PALERMO, the capital of Sicily; beautifully situated at the foot of Monte Pellegrino, an exotic mixture of European and Oriental culture. The architecture of Palermo shows Arab, Norman, Baroque and Art Nouveau influences. During the tour you can see, among others wonderful cathedral. Due to the time of its construction, reconstruction and renovation, the cathedral is characterized by a wonderful combination of many architectural styles. Then the most famous fountains in Palermo with the three-tier Fountain of Shame. The sightseeing route also includes Piazza Bellini with interesting Norman-Saracen monuments. The famous catacombs in the Capuchin monastery housing the mummies of monks and lay people, the Palatine Chapel. Transfer to MONREALE. Visiting the cathedral with its magnificent mosaics - the most outstanding work of Sicilian-Norman art. Return to the hotel, free time. Dinner, overnight.
3. DAY. TRAPANI - MARSALA (route: approx. 270 km) Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to TRAPANI, a city at the junction of the Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean Seas. Founded in ancient times, it delights with the old town. Walk around the city full of architectural gems, such as Palazzo Cavarretta. Transfer to the salinas, which are one of the symbols of the island, where sea salt is still obtained in the process of water evaporation. There are characteristic windmills with red roofs, which can often be seen on postcards. Transfer to MARSALA, a charming town famous for its vineyards and beautiful beaches. Free time. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner, overnight.
4. DAY. AGRYGENT - PIAZZA ARMERINA (route: approx. 110 km) Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Transfer to AGRYGENT. Visiting the Valley of the Temples, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. The valley covers an area of almost 2,000 ha and is completely inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Most of the buildings gathered in this place come from the 5th century BCE, and among them you can find the remains of the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Heracles and many other places of worship. Transfer to PIAZZA ARMERINA and a visit to the famous Roman villa with an area of approx. 3,500 m², where in more than 40 rooms (including toilets!) Magnificent mosaic floors with a unique theme and quality of workmanship have been preserved. The most famous mosaic are the so-called girls in bikini. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner, overnight.
5. DAY. NOTO - SYRACOUS (route: approx. 260 km) Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to NOTO. A stroll through the city famous for its magnificent baroque architecture of palaces and churches: Porta Reale, Church of San Francesco, perfectly proportioned market with Chiesa Madre and imposing palaces. Transfer to SYRACO. Sightseeing: the old town with Piazza del Duomo, the spring of Arethusa, the Greek theater with a magnificent view of the sea, the Latomia del Paradiso with the grotto known as the Ear of Dionysus. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner, overnight.
DAY 6. ETNA - TAORMINA (route: approx. 120 km) Breakfast. Entry to ETNA. Dominating the eastern coast of Sicily, Mount Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe (3340 m above sea level). Transfer by coach to the car park at the height of the Silvestri craters (approx. 1800 m above sea level). For those willing (for an additional fee on site): ride a jeep to an altitude of 2,900 m a.s.l. Transfer to TAORMINA. Visiting the Teatro Greco, picturesquely situated ruins of an ancient theater. Walk on Corso Umberto to Piazza IX Aprile with an observation deck over Mount Etna and the bay. Return to the hotel. Dinner, overnight.
7th DAY. MESSINA - CEFALU (route: approx. 300 km) Breakfast. Check out. Departure to the MESSINA, located in the picturesque Messinian Strait. Over the centuries, the town has been rebuilt from ruins three times. A stroll through the charming center, during which you can see the Cathedral Square from the 12th century, the cathedral and the bell tower topped with one of the largest astronomical clocks in the world. Noteworthy are the Orion Fountain in Cathedral Square, Piazza del Catalani and the nearby Church of Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani. Free time to rest in one of the atmospheric cafes. Then, in the program, the Neptune Fountain at the Unita d'Italia square, from where you can admire the panorama of the port with Fort Di San Salvatore and its 60 m column crowned with the figure of Madonna della Lettera - the patroness and defender of the city. Then drive to CEFALU, known as the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, and lying at the foot of the mighty La Rocca rock. A walk to the center of the town with its most famous monument - the monumental cathedral from the 12th century, built by the Norman king Roger. Free time. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner, overnight.
