Description
1. DAY.Meeting of participants at the airport. Flight to Milan. Transfer to the hotel, left luggage in a deposit or accommodation (depending on the time of arrival). Free time. Transfer to the central point of the city on Piazza del Duomo, surrounded on two sides by porticoes, the meeting point of the city's inhabitants and tourists from all over the world. The central part of the square is occupied by the famous cathedral, the Duomo, the third largest church in Europe. Visiting the cathedral, individual entry by elevator (or staircase) to the roof of the cathedral, from where there is a view of the city and the Alps. A visit to the Cathedral Museum with sculptures, statues, stained glass windows, paintings and objects of religious worship. Walk through the oldest and most elegant shopping center in Italy - Galleria Vittorio Emanuele with shops of famous Italian designers as well as restaurants and cafes. Passageway to Piazza Della Scala, where the most famous opera house in the world rises, La Scala. Free time. Return to the hotel, overnight.
2. DAY.Breakfast. A visit to Castello Sforzesco - a 15th-century fortress and residence of the Sforza family, the despotic rulers of Milan, now a museum housing works of medieval, renaissance and baroque art. One of the most valuable exhibits is Michelangelo's unfinished work - Pieta Rondanini. A visit to the Pinacoteca di Brera, with one of the finest Italian art collections, exhibiting works including Montegni, Caravaggio and Raphael. Walk through the botanical garden at the Academy of Fine Arts, and then through the bohemian art district, famous for its many restaurants, bars and cafes serving tasty and inexpensive meals, and visited by locals and local artists. Free time for an individual walk through the streets and alleys full of stalls offering various works and antiques. At the end of the day, a stroll along Via Monte Napoleone, one of the most elegant streets in Milan, with the boutiques of famous fashion designers. Return to the hotel, overnight.
3. DAY.Breakfast. A visit to the Church of Santa Maria Della Grazie, famous for the mural painting "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci (subject to availability of tickets). Then a tour of the theater museum, with a collection of sculptures, original scores, paintings and ceramics related to the history of La Scala, and even the posthumous masks of composers and casts of their hands. Then in the program: the Church of Sant'Ambrogio - the most beautiful medieval building in the city, erected in the 4th century by the bishop of Milan, St. Ambrose and the Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore, with frescoes from the 5th century. A passage towards the city center. Visiting the art gallery - Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. A visit to the Church of San Satiro, where the stucco used by the architect creates the illusion of a larger interior than it really is. Free time. Return to the hotel, overnight.
4. DAY.Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Poland.
