Local excursions
Mombasa City Tour - half-day (approx. 5 hours) trip to Mombasa, the second largest city in Kenya. Here cultures intermingle: the Arabic, African, Indian and European. A stroll through the fruit and vegetable market and the corners of the Old Town. We will also see the impressive Fort Jesus, a fortress built in the 16th century by the Portuguese. Transfer to Moi Avenue to see the flagship of the city: huge elephant's tusks. A visit to the handicraft cooperative society Akamba, where you can see the sculptors at work and buy Kenyan crafts. Swahili Blue - cruise to the island of Wasini – expedition to the southern coast of Kenya. The route runs amidst coconut forests and lazy villages. Traditional dhow type boats take you on a cruise on the Indian Ocean, with good visibility you will be able to see the coast of Tanzania. Stop for swimming and snorkeling. In the afternoon, arrive on the island of Wasini, where in an exotic restaurant there will be time for a real pirate feast of seafood. Time for a tour of the only village on the island of Wasini and a stroll through the "forest of coral sculptures" (additionally payable: approx. 200 KSH/person). Return to hotels for dinner. Kinazini - a cruise on a traditional dhow boat. From the fishing village of Bodo a cruise to the island of Funzi, where you can admire the mangrove forests. On the island you will have the opportunity to see the everyday life of the village of Shirazi, which has been continuing in an unchanged rhythm for several hundreds of years. A visit to a school, in private homes and to the market. Then the boat will sail on the shallows surrounded by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, where there will be time for some swimming. The route then leads to the island of Kinazini, where a wonderful feast with seafood awaits. After dinner, a cruise on traditional canoes along the River Ramia, to discover the unique ecosystem of mangrove forests. It will also be an opportunity to watch crocodiles and many species of birds. The absolute rulers of this land are: the elephant, leopard, buffalo, lion, hyena, zebra, gazelle. Tsavo, the largest national park of Kenya, is divided into two areas: Tsavo West and Tsavo East. It is here where the red elephants live. Here you can experience a truly unforgettable adventure, watching the giraffes, zebras, lions, buffalo, baboons and antelopes. Unimaginable views await also in the Masai Mara Park, where the great migration of animals takes place. Here live several species of antelope and giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, zebras, ostriches, gnu and crocodiles! Adrenaline is raised when spying on hunting lions. Kenya is also quite a treat for birdwatchers. In the heart of Masai Mara Park live more than 400 species of birds!
