3. DAY. FUNCHAL / PORTO SANTO - VILA BALEIRA Breakfast. Optional (at an additional cost on site): 1. Trip to the center of the island: ride by cable car over the rooftops of the city of Funchal. Sightseeing: the Sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte Hill, a tropical garden with Madeira's relict and endemic vegetation. A picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from the panoramic terraces of the Eira do Serrado you can enjoy a wonderful view of the mountain chasms. Transfer to a secluded village in the Nun's Valley and tasting the local specialty - chestnut liqueurs. The route then continues to Camara de Lobos - a typical fishing village, Winston Churchill's favorite spot. For those willing (for an extra charge on site): crazy wicker sledge ride down the Monte hill. 2. PORTO SANTO Island Trip (May-November): Ferry crossing to the island of Porto Santo, approximately 40 km northeast of the coast of Madeira, with stunning views. Disembarkation. Stop at the vantage point, which offers a wonderful view of the area. Transfer to VILA BALEIRA, the capital of the island, which impresses with its unique atmosphere. 4. DAY. FUNCHAL - PICO DOS BARCELOS Breakfast. Visiting FUNCHAL, the capital of the island. Ascent to the PICO DOS BARCELOS viewpoint (355 m above sea level), from where you can admire a wonderful panorama of the city. Walk: around the port, the 15th-century Manueline cathedral, the Parliament building of Madeira, the citadel of St. Lawrence. A visit to the famous The Old Blandy Wine Lodge, founded by John Blandy, who started the wine tradition that continues on the island. Getting to know the production process and history, tasting the unique Madeiran wine, which owes its unique taste to aging in oak barrels. A visit to the city market, the most colorful part of the city. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight stay.
5. DAY. CABO GIRÃO - RIBEIRA BRAVA - ENCUMENADA PASS - CALHETA - PORTO MONIZ - FLAT PAUL DA SERRA - MADALENA DO MAR Breakfast. A full-day trip around the western part of the island. A great opportunity to admire the bay of Funchal from the viewpoint on the second highest cliff in Europe, CABO GIRÃO (589 m above sea level). Drive through the fishing village of RIBEIRA BRAVA, the translation of which means the Wild River. A walk in the picturesque surroundings: a rocky beach, the remains of a small fort from the 17th century, the church of St. Benedict. Drive over the ENCUMENADA PASS, located between the two deepest valleys on the island. Stop at a vantage point with a magnificent view of the north and south coasts. Transfer to the small town of CALHETA. Visiting the sugar cane processing plant - getting to know the process of processing sugar cane along with its historical background, ending with a rum tasting. Transfer to PORTO MONIZ, a popular resort where you can admire the natural rock pools. Climbing the extraordinary PAUL DA SERRA FLAT, known as the mountain moorland or the Madeiran tundra.
