Local excursions
Three Cities — Vittoriosa, Cospicua, Senglea - discovering the Grand Harbor known as the Three Cities - Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where knights of St. John settled down in 1530. Drive next to Cospicua to Vittoriosa. A walk along the narrow streets in the shadow of historic buildings. A cruise by boat (dhajsa) from the Vittoriosa Wharf along the colourful harbor bays. Then the garden in Senglea, located at the end of the peninsula, with a magnificent view of the Grand Harbor and the impressive Fort Sant Angelo, from where Jean de la Valette led the defense of the island during the Great Siege in 1565. Price - approx. 30 EUR.
Gozo — a ferry crossing (approx. 20 min.) to the Mgarr Harbor, which introduces the unique atmosphere of Gozo. The program includes megalithic temples of Ggantija, which were built before the pyramids in Egypt. Then a visit in the medieval citadel in Victoria, Xlendi Bay and Dwejra Bay. Gozo is known for its craftsmanship, especially handmade lace and knitwear. The island is very different from Malta, the greenery and wonderful atmosphere are impressive for the visitors. Day trip. Price - approx. 58 EUR.
Mdina — a visit to the central part of the island and the medieval fortified city of Mdina, the former capital of Malta. Narrow, winding streets lead to impressive bastions, on the way there, you can admire different styles of architecture, including Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance. Mdina, called the Quiet City, is a paradise for filmmakers. After leaving Mdina through the Greeks Gate a drive to Dingli Cliffs. Finally, a visit to the botanical gardens of San Anton, located near the presidential palace, which can be viewed from outside. Half-day trip. Price - approx. 26 EUR.

Visit to the botanical gardens of San Anton, located near the presidential palace, which can be viewed from outside. Then visit the Ta' Qali Crafts Village and the majestic rotunda in Mosta, one of the largest in Europe. Day trip. Price - approx. 49 EUR (includes: lunch). A Cruise from Valletta - a cruise by boat and discovering the beauty of Valletta's two natural harbors, Marsamxett Harbor and the Grand Harbor, which have played an important role in Malta's history. Valletta seen from the sea is an ideal scene for original photos. After the cruise, free time for a walk in the main shopping area of Sliema, where you can shop or relax in one of the many cafes. Return from Sliema at 18.00. Half-day trip. Price - approx. 16 EUR.
Valletta — a tour along the vibrant streets of Valletta will unveil the beauty of a fortified city built by knights in 1566. The Order of St. John controlled the islands for 268 years and left a unique cultural heritage of which Valletta is the best example. The first highlight of the program is a beautiful view of the Grand Harbor from the Upper Barracca Gardens. Then a visit to St. John's Co-Cathedral, where in the oratory you can admire the masterpieces of Caravaggio. While traveling along the Republic Street the Palace of the Grand Masters and the recently renovated St. George's Square can be seen. Then the Malta Experience - an audiovisual production presenting the history of Malta over the centuries. Day trip. Price - approx. 38 EUR (includes the care of an English-speaking guide).
The temple of Hagar Qim and the limestone mine — the trip begins with a visit to one of the oldest quarries in Malta, which has been transformed into a tourist attraction. Then visit to Hagar Qim, an archaeological site overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the little island of Filfla. The program also includes a visit to Vienna iz-Zurrieq, where you can take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, known for its crystal clear water (optionally, for an extra fee; depending on the weather conditions). Half-day trip. Price - approx. 26 EUR (does not include the cruise to the Blue Grotto: approx. 8 EUR).
