Trochę monotonne śniadania (codziennie jajecznica i niezbyt dobra) ale plus za świeże owoce i proseco. W pokoju czuć było kanalizację, czasami dosyć mocno (np pod wieczór gdy goście wracali do hotelu i brali prysznic). Ogólnie hotel oceniam na dobry.

Zawsze był duży wybór świeżych warzyw i owoców, serów oraz smaczne ciasteczka. Pokój duży ze sprawną centralną klimatyzacją i wygodnymi łóżkami. Na dachu jacuzzi i mały basenik z leżakami. Świetne miejsce wypadowe, bo tylko około 2 km do centrum Funchal. Parking w podziemiach hotelu faktycznie ciasny, ale ważne że jest, bo parkowanie przy ulicy jest płatne. Parking w hotelu kosztuje 6,5 EUR za dobę. W dniu wyjazdu możliwość pozostawienia bagażu w zamkniętym pokoju. Bardzo polecam ten hotel i z chęcią do niego wrócę :)

Bardzo głośno przy otwartym oknie. Plaża niedaleko ale to po prostu betonowy obiekt z basenami i leżakami. Śniadania codziennie te same. Przez tydzień dałyśmy radę ale jeśli były byśmy dłużej to szkoda bo nie dodają nic nowego.

Bardzo blisko do centrum rekreacyjnego LIDO ( baseny). Na dachu hotelu basen i część rekreacyjno-wypoczynkowa. Dobra komunikacja. W pobliżu mnóstwo restauracji, barów, sklepów. Śniadania obfite jest też wino musujące.

Bardzo przyjemny hotel, świetnie się sprawdzał jako baza wypadowa do zwiedzania całej wyspy. Duży, ładny pokój z balkonem oraz niewielkim, ale wyposażonym we wszystko, co niezbędne, aneksem kuchennym, wygodne łóżka, spora łazienka z prysznicem. Bardzo czysto, możliwość codziennego sprzątania, do dyspozycji po cztery ręczniki na osobę (w tym jeden duży na basen), suszarka do włosów, kosmetyki (mydło, żel/szampon) a nawet szmatka do czyszczenia butów. W pokoju duża szafa z sejfem, dodatkowe półki, fotel, stolik z krzesłami, naprawdę komfortowo. Raczej nie będzie to jednak miejsce dla osób szukających ciszy i spokoju, hotel znajduje się przy dość ruchliwej ulicy, obok jest też restauracja z papugami i grillem, przechodzi sporo ludzi, my lubimy takie "żyjące" miejsca, ale warto to brać pod uwagę :) Przyjazny i pomocny personel, wszyscy uśmiechnięci, recepcja czynna całodobowo. Śniadania faktycznie codziennie takie same, ale jest spory wybór wędlin, pieczywa, dodatków do jogurtu/musli, przez tydzień nie zdążyliśmy się znudzić, też dzięki pysznym, świeżym owocom (już tęsknię) i słodkościom (m.in. pastéis de nata, maślane croissanty). Na dachu znajduje się basen o przyjemnej temperaturze wody oraz jacuzzi, roztacza się też widok na pobliskie budynki i ocean, są leżaki i mały barek, można też skorzystać z sauny a nawet masaży. Jeśli ktoś wynajmuje samochód to w hotelu jest parking płatny, przy ulicy jest też sporo miejsc, ale po godzinie 20, gdy nie trzeba już płacić, trochę trzeba się najeździć, żeby coś znaleźć w pobliżu, ale zawsze się jakoś udawało. W okolicy sporo knajp, sklepów, np. Spar czy Pingo doce, pięknych roślin, przyjazna atmosfera, do centrum można dojechać autobusem, ale spacer też bardzo przyjemny.

Pobyt w kwietniu 2024. Hotel czysty, personel bardzo uprzejmy, śniadania smaczne z dużą ilością owoców. Można zamówić omlety i naleśniki na życzenie. Dużą zaletą hotelu jest basen na dachu z podgrzewaną wodą i jacuzzi. Widok z dachu piękny, z balkonów w pokojach nie ma widoku na ocean. Pokoje są przestronne i nowocześnie urządzone. Plusem jest też czajnik i mały aneks kuchenny. Uwaga parking jest w podziemiu, bardzo malutki i płatny. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu w tym hotelu.

Hotel Terrace Mar jest bardzo dobrym wyborem na Maderze, położony w Funchal, skąd jest dostępny transport publiczny do innych części wyspy oraz do centrum stolicy. Do centrum można się również przejść ok 30 min. W drugą stronę na pieszo można iść do biedronki lub na najbliższą plażę, a idąc dalej promenadą można się dostać do dużej plaży Formosa. W okolicy jest bardzo dużo restauracji z dobrymi opiniami. Pokój jest przestronny i dobrze wyposażony wliczając zastawę i przybory kuchenne oraz czysty. Sprzątanie jest codziennie. Na tarasie jest podgrzewany basen i jacuzzi oraz miejsce do odpoczynku na leżakach. Śniadania bardzo dobre, do wyboru jest wiele produktów, owoce np marakuja, kiwi, papaja, oraz pieczywo, croissanty, jajka, jajecznica, boczek, płatki z dodatkami, kawa, herbata, soki i wiele innych, a dodatkowo na każdym stoliku jest menu z którego można domówić sobie np naleśniki, omlety czy tosty. Obsługa hotelu jest bardzo pomocna i troskliwa. Jedyny minus to słabo wygłuszone pokoje, przez co słychać ulicę czy odgłosy z korytarza. W hotelu dostępne są również dodatkowo płatne sauna i masaże.

Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. The prices include transport and the care of an English-speaking mountain guide.
Levada Rabacal — level: average, approx. 13 km, trekking time: approx. 4 h, on the route: the high waterfall Risco and cascade "25 springs" consisting of many waterfalls, the UNESCO-protected laurel forest Laurissilva. Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
