A great place to relax in a picturesque setting! Hotel pięknie położony na klifie, ze wspaniałym widokiem na Cabo Girajo, pokój czysty, wystarczająco duży, codziennie sprzątany, obsługa bardzo miła. Posiłki urozmaicone, czasem kolacje tematyczne, bardzo smaczne. Muzyka na żywo do śniadania, fortepian lub gitara, wieczorem muzyka na żywo do potańczenia lub posłuchania. Rano można było iść na zajęcia jogi, stretchingu i aqua aerobiku. Po południu na lekcję salsy, machaty, języka portugalskiego, warsztaty przyrządzania ponchy i nikity- lokalnych drinków. Degustacje win i likierów maderskich. Były też różne gry rodzinne, mini golf. Oferta naprawdę szeroka jeśli nie chciało się opuszczać hotelu lub pogoda na to nie pozwalała. Piękny ogród palmowy zasługuje na szczególną uwagę, czuliśmy się jak w ogrodzie botanicznym. Super są punkty z automatami do kawy i napojów, nie trzeba iść do baru. Do stolicy wyspy, Funchal jeździ darmowy autobus z hotelu. Tylko naprawdę nie polecam hotelu osobom z problemami w poruszaniu się, gdyż jest tam sporo schodów. Na plażę jest winda, ale i tak trzeba pokonać wiele schodów najpierw na terenie hotelu. A plaża jest bardzo kamienista, z czarnym piaskiem. Nie polecam też tego wyjazdu osobom, które lubią leżeć na plaży ,gdyż ani plaża ani pogoda, która jest bardzo zmienna, nie zadowolą plażowiczów. Polecam osobom aktywnym, które lubią bardzo dużo zwiedzać w okolicy, spacerować i podziwiać przepiękne, zapierające dech , widoki.

Jestem po bardzo udanym pobycie w hotelu Pestana. Ogólnie hotel dobry, na sporym terenie, duzo zieleni, miejsc do odpoczynku na swieżym powietrzu. Duzy plus za winde z terenu hotelu prosto na promenade przy kamienistej plaży. Jedzenie i formuła All Inc bardzo na plus. W czasie mojego pobytu nie brakowało niczego, owoce morza, krewetki małże etc, niezły open bar. Sniadania codziennie te same ale było wszystko czego potrzeba i kazdy znajdzie coś dla siebie albo skomponuje sobie coś z uwagi na duzy wybor produktów. Jest natomioast jeden duzy jak dla mnie minus - pokoj a raczej jego łazienka. Nie wiem kto to wymyślil ale część sypialną od łazienki dzieli jedynie szyba z roletą ktora jest tak zamontowana ze i tak nie daje intymności. Nie ma zadnych drzwi oprocz tej "przegrody" w postaci szyby. ( taka łazienka walk in ) Dla mnie dramat ale niestety nie ma mozliwosci za posrednictwem biura, wyboru pokoju z normalną łazienką. Jezeli komuś nie przeszkadza korzystanie z dobrodziejstwa toalety "na widoku" osoby leżącej na łózku to ok ale niestety jest to troche niekomfortowe :D Mało kontaktów do ładowania telefonów i innych urządzen ( cos za cos ). Czystość jak najbardziej ok, codzienne sprzątanie. Ogólnie polecam hotel, tylko ta łazienka...

Obok hotelu jest też przystanek komunikacji miejskiej . Pokój sprzątany codziennie .chociaż tylko po łepkach. Kelnerzy bardzo uczynni .drinki bardzo dobre .Większość gości to ludzie starsi. Przeważnie Anglicy i Francuzi. Jedyny minus to pogoda ,bardzo wiało.

Hotel położony w pięknym miejscu, można było z łatwością dojechać do miasteczka Funchal autobusem, którego przystanek był obok hotelu. Hotel wyposażony w jacuzzi z niesamowitym widokiem, które było super opcją w chłodne dni. Jedzenie ok, można było znaleźć coś dla siebie. Drinki super, były robione z dużym zaangażowaniem i z oryginalnym alkoholem, nie były rozwodnione. Byliśmy bardzo zdziwieni, gdyż w hotelu zdecydowanie było więcej starszych osób. Obsługa hotelu bardzo miła i pomocna. Ogólnie bardzo polecamy ten hotel, myślę, że kiedyś tutaj jeszcze wrócimy :))

Baseny czyste i dużo dostępnych leżaków. Plaża jak na Maderze wulkaniczna i kamienista ale za to ładna promenada do spacerów. Plusem jest też winda na plażę.

Polecam ten hotel wszystkim, którzy chcą wypocząć w zaciszu, ale jednocześnie być blisko miasta.

The centre of the island — cable car ride over the rooftops of the city of Funchal to the Monthe hill. Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
