Personel sprzątający również na wysokim poziomie. Hotel choć został wybudowany wiele lat temu ma jednak swój charakter. Doskonała lokalizacja. Widok na ocean. Ładny basen. Woda jednak bardzo zimna. Brak plaży gdyż Hotel znajduje się na wzniesieniu.

Ogromny budynek. Ciekawa architektura. Mimo gabarytu, nie przytłacza. Piekna, przeszklona jadalnia z widokiem na ocean. Pokoje schludne, ale widać ząb czasu. Brakuje czajnika, lepszej jakości TV. Na plus duze, wygodne łóżko. Na balkonach stare drewniane meble, mało wygodne. Dobre, smaczne jedzenie - na prawdę nie ma na co narzekać. Jedyny minus to płatne napoje do kolacji - karafka wody 5 euro, piwo 6 euro. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja - blisko centrum - blisko parku, muzeum CR7 pod nosem. Obok kasyno - należące do grupy hotelowej.

Hotel świetnie położony - 10 minut spacerem od centrum Funchal, przy samym porcie. Co istotne, bliskie położenie portu nie jest dokuczliwe, a otwiera możliwość komfortowego połączenia rejsowego na Porto Santo (piękna piaszczysta plaża!). Wyżywienie przyzwoite, jednak jak to bywa w hotelach, po kilku dniach staje się monotonne. Pokoje ładne, sprzątane codziennie. Największym minusem była łazienka, której przydałby się już mały remont. Obsługa hotelowa pozytywnie nastawiona do gości, wszystko na plus. Plaże na Maderze właściwie nie istnieją, więc jedyną opcją są hotelowe baseny lub właśnie rejs na Porto Santo, gdzie znajduje się kilkukilometrowa piaszczysta plaża. Sam basen w hotelu ładny, utrzymany w czystości, z widokiem na ocean. Podsumowując, bardzo się cieszę że trafiłem do tego hotelu. Lokalizacja jest bardzo dobra i jest blisko do centrum stolicy. Pokoje dla Itaki sa wylacznie z widokiem na ulice i nie zachecaja do przesiadywania na balkonie - nie ma opcji zmiany pokoju za dopłatą. Pokój, który dostaliśmy był na samym koncu hotelu z widokiem. A ulice. Pokojom przydalby sie remont- na minus brak wody w pokoju, czajnika, ekspresu do kawy itp. dostajemy tylko lodowke, reczniki i mydlo/plyn do kapieli - duze zdziwienie w hotelu z 5*. Pokoje czyste. Silownia mikroskopijna jak na tak duży hotel. Mimo paru minusów bardzo fajne miejsce.

Każdego dnia było inne danie z kuchni lokalnej, co pozwoliło spróbować wielu rzeczy. W trakcie kolacji obsługa serwowała napoje za dodatkową opłatą. Bufet składał się z dań ciepłych, zimnych, sałatek i pokrojonych owoców. Bardzo wygodne łóżka, komplety ręczników basenowych. Leżaki basenowe, 3 baseny i jacuzzi były na bieżąco sprzątane.

Hotelowa restauracja z niesamowitym olbrzymim przeszkleniem i basen hotelowy powoduje wrażenie bezpośredniego kontaktu z oceanem . Przepiękne widoki praktycznie w każdą stronę . Z zewnątrz sprawia wrażenie hotelu nowego . Jedynym kontrastem są pokoje , które swoją świetność miały chyba w latach 80-tych . Nie jest to tylko moja opinia ale również osób , które przebywały razem z nami . Wymagają już radykalnych zmian i odświeżenia . Zbyt duży kontrast z wrażeniem zewnętrznym a pokojami. Z pewnością nie jest to hotel 5 gwiazdkowy . Jeśli chodzi o otoczenie : baseny / 3 / wszystko jest bez zarzutu . Bardzo dobra kuchnia . Maderczycy są mistrzami jeśli chodzi o przygotowanie dań rybnych . Absolutna rewelacja . W ogólnej ocenie hotel oceniam dobrze ale z pewnością nie na 5 gwiazdek .

Czysty pokój o dużej powierzchni, z balkonem, na balkonie dostępne są stolik i foteliki. Wygodne, szerokie łóżka z miłą pościelą. W pokoju dostępna lodówka oraz sejf na kosztowności. W łazience dostępna suszarka do włosów. Pokój regularnie sprzątany. Niestety na wyposażeniu pokoju nie ma czajnika elektrycznego. Do wieczornych posiłków podawane są napoje płatne.

Jedzenie to dwa światy - śniadanie bardzo przyjemne, zawsze można było wybrać coś dla siebie, natomiast kolacja jest tego przeciwieństwem - średni wybór oraz brak napojów wliczonych w cenę bardzo mocno na minus - nie mówię tu o fajerwerkach, ale za małą butelkę wody 5€ to przesada.

W pokojach czysto. Sprzątane codziennie. Jedzenie czasami bywało nieświeże. Czerstwe pieczywo pomieszane ze świeżym. Zauważalne było wykorzystywanie pozostałości jedzenia do wykonywania innych potraw nazywanych później "sugestia szefa". Wiele potraw jałowych, bez użycia nawet podstawowych przypraw, a które powinny być wykorzystywane w trakcie przygotowywania jakiegoś dania. No i moim zdaniem bzdurą było naliczanie opłat za wodę i ciepłe napoje typu herbata w trakcie obiadokolacji. Coś co jest darmowe przy śniadaniu jest już płatne przy kolacji i to nie mało (4 euro za herbatę. 2 euro za wodę). Położenie hotelu jest bardzo dobre. Blisko centrum Funchal. Piękny widok z balkonu. Obsługa na poziomie 5* hotelu. Mogę polecić dla mniej wybrednych kulinarnie 4

Mam zastrzeżenie do wyżywienie, o ile obiadokolacje były urozmaicone, to śniadania zawsze takie same, codziennie ten sam zestaw i mało smaczne, Cena butelki wody niegazowanej do kolacji zwaliła mnie z nóg- prawnie 5 euro- to jest zdecydowanie za drogo jak na wodę z kranu, na lotnisku kupi się w niższej cenie.

The centre of the island — cable car ride over the rooftops of the city of Funchal to the Monthe hill. Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. A drive through the world's largest valleys, covered with ancient Laurisilva laurel trees, to Ribeiro Frio village with a state-owned trout farm. Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Along the canals many trekking routes of varying difficulty were created. Please bring: sports shoes, clothing suited to changing weather, drinks and lunch. The prices include transport and the care of an English-speaking mountain guide.
Levada Rabacal — level: average, approx. 13 km, trekking time: approx. 4 h, on the route: the high waterfall Risco and cascade "25 springs" consisting of many waterfalls, the UNESCO-protected laurel forest Laurissilva. Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
