Po śniadaniu restauracja była przygotowywana do kolacji nawet restauracja zewnętrzna gdzie do 19 gołębie i spadający popiół były wszędzie na serwetka na sztućcach. Leżaki przy basenie bardzo brudne. Podłoga przy basenie katastrofa normalnie czarna. Jedzenie ok ale nie urozmaicone. Open bar katastrofa, szkoda wydanych pieniędzy. Plus dla obsługi.

Lokalizacja hotelu bardzo wygodna. Bardzo blisko przystanki autobusowe, obok mały park i deptak oraz raczej cicha i spokojna okolica. W pobliżu kilka restauracji i barów. Pokój bardzo przestronny. Łazienka również. Sprzątanie pokoju codziennie. Obsługa uprzejma i pomocna. Wyżywienie w naszym przypadku raczej nie spełniło oczekiwania, ale to już bardzo subiektywne odczucie. Posiłki smaczne, ale mało urozmaicone. Osoby z specjalną dietą mogą mieć problem. Nie jem mięsa a kuchnia portugalska to mięso, brak jarskich potraw. Duży wybór świeżych owoców przy śniadaniu. Dla osób jedzących wszystko nie będzie chyba zastrzeżeń. Basen i leżaki oceniam wystarczająco. O animacjach nie umiem nic powiedzieć bo ich nie kojarzę na miejscu. Poza sobotnim występem na żywo jakiegoś zespołu muzycznego. W okolicy brak plaży, ale o tym wiedziałam wcześniej.

Hotel oceniam bardzo pozytywnie, choć nie jest to takie typowe 5 gwiazdek, niemniej jednak spełnił moje główne oczekiwanie jakim był spokój (hotel nie jest molochem, pozwala na zachowanie intymności, nikt nie leci o 6 rano i nie rezerwuje leżaka bo nie ma takiej potrzeby ). Jedzenie jest urozmaicone w pewnym sensie smaczne ale nie jest to gotowanie na wysokim poziomie (przydałaby się zmiana kucharza) zawsze na kolację opcja wegetariańska, dwie ryby, dwa rodzaje mięs, często owoce morza, zupa. Niekiedy zdarzało się, że mięso było twarde. Na minus jakość kawy..choć opcja samego espresso pozwalała na poczucie wypicia kawy Na bardzo duży plus obsługa hotelu - uśmiechnięty, pomocny, życzliwy personel. Obsługa w restauracji szybka i sprawna. Pokoje duże, czyste, przestronne, sprzątane co dziennie. Łazienka OK, kosmetyki Rituals. W pokoju zawsze butelka wody, kawa czy herbata. Bardzo dobrze wyposażona siłownia, można było chodzić na dodatkowe zajęcia np. yoga, pilates, aqua aerobik. Pani Yogginka fantastyczna (mówi po angielsku). SPA przeciętne. Wieczorem zawsze muzyka na żywo, spokojne przyjemne brzmienie (oczywiście kto co lubi ). Hotel leży przy promenadzie, blisko kamienistej publicznej plaży. Plaża czysta. Położenie hotelu oceniam wysoko, blisko do centrum Funchal (zaraz obok hotelu jest przystanek autobusowy, piechotą ok 40 min), do koła hotelu dużo knajpek i restauracyjek, są dwa sklepy spożywcze i centrum handlowe. Wynajęliśmy samochód (garaż w hotelu bezpłatny). Madera fantastyczna, piękna, różnorodna. Każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Mnie bardzo urzekły naturalne baseny w oceanie i levady. Z pewnością kiedyś tu jeszcze wrócimy i niewykluczone, że nie skorzystamy z tego samego hotelu

Jestem bardzo zadowolona z pobytu w tym hotelu. Jedzenie bardzo mi smakowało - było trochę monotonne ale smaczne i świeże- dużo ryb, i czerwone mięso i baranina a także kurczak dużo owoców, warzyw wspaniałe ciasta, woda, soki do śniadania. Pracownicy którzy pracowali w restauracji byli bardzo pomocni, przyjemni, szybcy w obsłudze i bardzo dobrze wykonywali swoją pracę. Pokoje czyste z kosmetykami a ręczniki codziennie wymieniane, a oprócz tego w każdym pokoju dzbanek - kawa i herbata. Okolice piękne - bujna roślinność i różnorodne drzewa. Do Funchal można dojść pieszo. Jest również sporo autobusów do różnych części Madery. Pracownicy w recepcji hotelu również przemili i pomocni. Właściwie dzięki całemu personelowi pobyt w hotelu jest bardzo przyjemny, bez żadnych problemów można wiele rzeczy załatwić.

SPA praktycznie nieistnieje bo zapomnij , że ktoś tam pracuje. Pełno rosyjskich turystów . Żenada pod każdą postacią. Opcja wege nieistniejąca. Nigdy więcej nawet za dopłatą moją nogą tam nie postanie. Jedyny plus parking podziemny w cenie. Reszta totalny wstyd!!!

Codzienna muzyka na żywo to porażka, smutni muzycy, smutne melodie i smutni słuchacze. Nie polecam opcji 'open bar' wykupionej w biurze, hotel ma bardzo dobre oferty na napoje w znacznie korzystniejszej cenie. Śniadania codziennie takie same, ale z dużym wyborem. Kolacje zapowiadały się dobrze, codziennie 2 ryby, 2 rózne rodzaje mięsa, danie wegetariańskie, czasem owoce morza lub grill. Niestety, kucharz nie potrafił przyrządzić potraw, mięsa twarde, owoce morza twarde lub gumowate, dania niedoprawione, niesmaczne. Plusem był przestronny pokój, wybraliśmy z widokiem na ocean. Pokoje sprzątane codziennie. Dobra lokalizacja hotelu, przystanek autobusowy tuż obok.

Wycieczki dostępne na miejscu
The centre of the island — cable car ride over the rooftops of the city of Funchal to the Monthe hill. Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. Optionally: a crazy downhill ride on wicker sleighs from Monte Hill (additionally payable: 15 EUR/person). Day trip. Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Along the canals many trekking routes of varying difficulty were created. Please bring: sports shoes, clothing suited to changing weather, drinks and lunch. The prices include transport and the care of an English-speaking mountain guide.
Levada Rabacal — level: average, approx. 13 km, trekking time: approx. 4 h, on the route: the high waterfall Risco and cascade "25 springs" consisting of many waterfalls, the UNESCO-protected laurel forest Laurissilva. Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
