Hotel jest w porządku. Pokój nr 610 był wystarczająco duży, czysty, czyste ręczniki i widok na morze od zachodu. Personel na recepcji uprzejmy. W dniu przyjazdu otrzymaliśmy pokój na dole nr 5 ale Pani powiedziała, że następnego dnia otrzymamy inny na 6 piętrze. Jedzenie było typowo hotelowe -wszędzie są te same śniadania ale można coś wybrać. Tym razem dodatkowo była owsianka i pieczone jabłka. Kolacje są w drugim budynku - też typowo hotelowe. Bufet jest duży więc można coś wybrać. Następnym razem nie będe zamawiać wyżywienia w hotelu. Na mieście jest dużo restauracji gdzie można dobrze zjeść. Na urodziny mąż dostał butelkę szampana od hotelu co było miłym gestem. Jednym minusem tego hotelu jest to leży na wzgórzu i podejście jest trochę strome. Większość autobusów odjeżdża z dolnej ulicy. Lokalizacja jest dobra. W pobliżu są sklepy i restauracje. Do centrum około 2,5 km.

Hotel zasluguje na 5 w skali 6 w tym przedziale cenowym. Jedzenie bardzo smaczne, basen, siłownia, miła obsługa. Świetna lokalizacja dla osób aktywnych, które chcą mieć możliwość łatwego wyjazdu z Funchal, ale jednoscześnie móc dostać się spacerkiem do miasta. Pokój jaki otrzymaliśmy w ramach oferty Itaki, tragedia, najgorszy w jakim przyszło mi spać. Wystające ostre listwy z podłogi, jakość mebli na poziomie najtańszego zaniedbanego od 20 lat hostelu. To chyba jakiś problem Itaki, ponieważ ludzie z innych biur otrzymali dużo ładniejsze, wyremntowane pokoje, a my usłyszeliśmy w recepcji ze w ramach oferty Itaki mamy tylko taki. Także hotel naprawde fajny, ale standardy pokoii tak różne, że następnym razem na pewno upewnie się czy wyremontowane pokoje o których pisze Itaka dotyczą oferty czy też są jedynie informacją, która nas nie dotyczy.

Trzy gwiazdki hotelu w pełni oddają jakość świadczonej obsługi. Jeśli ktoś woli spokojną/cichą zieloną okolicę blisko plaży - powinien wybrać inny hotel. Hotel spełnia wymagania znakomicie jeśli chcecie mieszkać w centrum i mieć "wszędzie blisko". Co kilka kroków wypożyczalnie samochodów, komunikacja, niedaleko muzeum CR7, kolejka linowa, katedra, stare miasto.... Wystarczy odrobinę szczęścia w przyznawaniu pokoju.. i od 5-6 piętra mamy piękny widok z balkonu na wschody słońca. Nie za duży basen wewnątrz z jacuzi oraz większy na zewnątrz zupełnie wystarczy do spędzenia czasu z dziećmi np w czasie deszczu albo do relaksu po męczącej wyprawie. Jedzenie urozmaicone. Zarówno mięsożerca i wege coś znajdzie dla siebie. Jedynie kawa była poniżej przeciętnej. (W barach, kawiarniach, restauracjach kawa o niebo lepsza). W pobliżu nie ma plaży. Kolejne piętra w trakcie remontu.

Hotel Dorisol Buganvilia - dobre położenie jednak nie w pierwszej linii do oceanu - tylko z wysokich pięter hotelu umożliwia perspektywę patrzenia na ocean. Stan mocno wykorzystany latami użytkowania i prosi się o remont odświeżający. Na plus czystość pokoi, wygodne łóżka , codziennie serwis sprzatający i wymiana ręczników. Na minus posiłki - kolacja dla nas niejadalna, potrawy zimne, twarde, niedosmaczone - można ratować się sałatkami i owocami które są podane w dość dużym wyborze.

Jedzenie oceniam bardzo wysoko, śniadania standard ale każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie, kawa z ekspresu bardzo dobra. Obiadokolacje rozmaite, w każdy dzień coś innego, codziennie inna pyszna ryba, duży wybór owoców i ciast. Napoje płatne, ale ceny ok. Basen zewnętrzny zadbany, z wewnętrznego nie korzystaliśmy. Okolica super, wszystko pod ręką - sklepy, restauracje, wypożyczalnie aut. Do najbliższej "biedronki" 10 min piechotką. Zdecydowanie polecam ten hotel.

Sprzątane codziennie na plus. Śniadania strasznie monotonne, kolację różnorodne i bardzo smaczne. Obsluga hotelu bardzo pomocna i przyjazna.

Hotel za całokształt lubimy byliśmy już drugi raz. Drugi wyjazd odbył się w styczniu 2025, poprzedni w październiku 2024. Sam hotel czysty w części ogólnej. Pokoje zależy jak traficie: są niektóre wyremontowane (m.in 2 piętro), na innych są pokoje przed renowacją i nie wyglądają zachęcająco). W styczniu menu na kolacjach było trochę bardziej ubogie niż w październiku, śniadania bez zmian - na dłuższą metę monotonne. Z minusów za pierwszym razem mieliśmy codziennie karaluchy w wannie (to nie było upierdliwe, bo nie wychodziły poza wannę), za drugim razem mrówki... dużo mrówek w pokoju - były wszędzie. Jak zostawiliśmy świeżo kupione produkty na stole to musieliśmy je wyrzucić, ponieważ całe oblazły mrówki. Dostaliśmy preparat na zwalczanie insektów i trzeba było sobie radzić. Nie wiem czy takiego pecha mieliśmy czy to po prostu norma.

Rok temu parter z widokiem na chodnik i parking, rok później pokój ze śmierdzącą kuchnią na 1 piętrze i widokiem na basen. Negocjacje w recepcji przyniosły efekty, ale strasznie dużo zachodu. Pokoje finalnie zmienienie w obu przypadkach ale szkoda na to czasu. Jedna z recepcjonistek poinformowała, że ITAKA takie miejsca wykupila.

The centre of the island — cable car ride over the rooftops of the city of Funchal to the Monthe hill. Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Along the canals many trekking routes of varying difficulty were created. Please bring: sports shoes, clothing suited to changing weather, drinks and lunch. The prices include transport and the care of an English-speaking mountain guide.
Levada Rabacal — level: average, approx. 13 km, trekking time: approx. 4 h, on the route: the high waterfall Risco and cascade "25 springs" consisting of many waterfalls, the UNESCO-protected laurel forest Laurissilva. Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
