Wybrałem ten hotel ze względu na położenie (dzielnica Lido blisko do centrum Funchal) i z tego jestem zadowolony. I tak jak w opisie było, że hotel jest z 1971 i to widać naprawdę w wielu miejscach a najbardziej w pokojach. Remont który był wykonany parę lat temu dotyczył tylko recepcji i wymiany wind na nowe. Jednak w hotelu spędzaliśmy bardzo mało czasu wiec nie jest źle. Na terenie hotelu są miejsca parkingowe jednak dodatkowo płatne 7€ za dobę. Przy dłuższym pobycie trzeba wsiąść pod uwagę dodatkowe koszty związane z wymianą ręczników na czyste jeśli dobrze pamiętam 1€. Śniadania przez 11 dni były dość monotonne ale każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Za to obiadokolacji, która była w sąsiednim hotelu (Dorisol Estrelicia) była juz dużo lepsza, większa róznorodnosc i więcej rodzajów dań. Pamiętajcie jednak że do obiadokolacji napoje sa dodatkowo płatne również woda. Ogólnie podsumowując pobyt uważam za bardzo udany. Wszytsko zgodnie z naszym planem, pobyt w hotelu ograniczaliśmy do minimów dlatego nie korzystałem z basenów i animacji.

Pokoje wyposażone w zaplecze kuchenne (czajnik , lodówka , mikrofala, płyta indukcyjna, zestaw naczyń i sztućców) Hotel skromny ale czysty . obsługa bardzo miła. Jedzenie serwowane w hotelu smaczne choć pewnie bardziej wymagający uznają je za mało urozmaicone. Moim zdaniem każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie . Hotel dysponuje niewielką liczbą miejsc parkingowych, które są płatne 7euro za dobę. Dla rodzin z dziećmi raczej mało atrakcji na terenie hotelu. Ogólnie dobre miejsce dla mniej wymagających

Hotel okazał sie dla nas dużym rozczarowaniem, zwłaszcza z uwagi na fakt, że pani w biurze nam go polecała. Jak można cos takiego polecić... Chętnie doplacilibyśmy, gdybyśmy nie zostali okłamani, a zdjęcia z oferty przedstawiały stan faktyczny. Pokoje wymagają remontu, a jeszcze bardziej proszą się o niego łazienki, które są po prostu odpychające i goszczą insekty. Jedzenie niesmaczne i monotonne. Mimo, ze mieliśmy śniadania i kolacje w cenie, po pierwszym dniu przestaliśmy z nich korzystać. Jedyny plus tego "hotelu" to lokalizacja.

Hotel- część publiczna, super, pokoje do odnowienia, ale czyste, panie sprzątające bardzo dbały o porządek i były przemiłe, na recepcji pracowała jedna pani taka trochę starsza, która była bardzo miła, reszta recepcjonistów wykonywała totalne minimum i nie nawiązywali kontaktu wzrokowego chyba po to żeby im nie przeszkadzać, przynajmniej takie mieliśmy wrażenie. Kelnerzy w restauracjach super, bardzo życzliwi i uśmiechnięci. Widok z pokoju bardzo ładny - na ocean, pokój dobrych rozmiarów, łóżko bardzo wygodne, balkonik też przydatny. Wyposażony jak trzeba tylko wygląda trochę staro i widać zniszczenia.

Recepcja średnio przygotowana do działalności i wspierania gości - na trzy błahe sprawy nie załatwiłam żadnej - słabe przygotowanie pod turystów. Na obiadokolacjach obsługa obserwowała nas jakbyśmy zaraz miały coś ukraść - bardzo nieeleganckie zachowanie i mało przyjazna obsługa młodych pracowników. Starsza załoga bardzo sympatyczna, pracownicy sprzątający pokoje bardzo sympatyczni! To zdecydowanie nie jest hotel, w którym przesiadujesz większość czasu, bardziej hotel na nocowanie.

Hotel jest dobrym wyborem na bazę wypadową. Położony bardzo blisko centrum Funchal. (Około 30 minut pieszo/5-10 minut autobusem) Przystanki autobusowe, sklepy spożywcze oraz restauracje znajdziemy bardzo blisko hotelu. Bardzo istotną rzeczą, o której dowiedzieliśmy się niestety dopiero na miejsc, są miejsca parkingowe. W hotelu Dorisol trzeba je rezerwować (7€ za dobę), ale niestety jest ich bardzo mało i praktycznie ciągle są zarezerwowane. Możliwe jest zaparkowanie w okolicy hotelu na zwykłych (płatnych 0,76€/h od 8:00 do 20:00) miejscach parkingowych, ale wracając wieczorami może to być bardzo czasochłonne, ponieważ zjeżdża się tam bardzo dużo ludzi to pobliskich restauracji. Pokoje hotelowe są po prostu przeciętne. Jest czysto, co dla nas liczyło się najbardziej. Przydałoby się im lekkie odświeżenie w postaci remontu (szczególnie łazienek), ale nie ma na co narzekać. Od razu obok hotelu jest odkryty basen około 5x5m, a wokoło niego poustawiane są leżaki. Recepcja czynna 24/7, wszyscy pracownicy rozmawiają komunikatywnie w języku angielskim. Wyżywienie, jak to hotelowe wyżywienie, może być. Nic szałowego, ale da się przekąsić. Jedyną dosyć irytująca dla nas rzeczą był wymóg przynoszenia karteczki z numerem pokoju na każdy posiłek, którą ciągle gdzieś się gubiła.. :p

Mieliśmy porownanie, bo na wczasy pojechaliśmy z siostrą i jej mężem i ich pokój na 7 piętrze był odnowiony, byli zadowoleni. Tymczasem w naszym pokoju nr 7 śmierdziało stęchlizną, w łazience rozpadał się prysznic, meble wyglądały obskurnie. Nawet krzesło na balkonie się rozpadało. Zgłosiliśmy ten fakt rezydentowi, ale nie udało się załatwić wymiany pokoju. Dodatkowo mielismy jakiegoś karalucha w pokoju, ale udało się go pozbyć. Na plus dobre jedzenie, zwłaszcza obiadokolacje.
Na Maderze byłam już drugi raz. Hotel mnie trochę rozczarował. Swoją świadomość ma już za sobą, wymaga remontu. Na miejscu nie było wszystkich ręczników trzeba było o nie dodatkowo prosić. (...)

Pościel też nie była w najlepszym stanie, moja była brudna. Jedzenie typowo hotelowe. Nie wszystkie dania były smaczne. Były bardzo dobre ryby np. tuńczyk, łosoś, makrela, espada i inne. Bardzo dobre były potrawy mięsne i duży wybór surówek. Desery w postaci ciast i kremów były bardzo słodkie. Dodatkowo płatne do obiadu były napoje butelka wody 3 euro, 0.5 l wina 5 euro. Były trzy baseny w tym jeden kryty z jacuzzi, jeden na dachu z widokiem na ocean. Nie wybrałabym ponownie tego hotelu.

Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
