Basen tragedia- słona woda i pas brudu nad wodą na ścianie basenu Żadnych atrakcji- w hotelu bilard w sali dostępnej dla wszystkich a na końcu okazało się, że dodatkowo płatny.

Spędziliśmy w tym hotelu 2 tygodnie, jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z czystości oraz widoków z pokoju. Stosunek jakości do ceny oceniamy na prawidłowy. Pokój typowy dla takich hoteli, bardzo ładny widok z okna, dwa łóżka pojedyncze były dla nas minusem, nie da się ich złączyć tak by nie było przerwy w połowie. Skorzystaliśmy z wyżywienia w formie 2 posiłków. Śniadania klasyczne (ciepłe: codziennie jajecznica, bekon, parówki i 3 dania ciepłe zmienne, zwykle naleśniki, fasolka, jajko sadzone lub gotowane) bez szaleństw ale można jeść na ciepło, można na słodko, czy np. kanapki- każdy coś dla siebie znajdzie. Obiadokolacje dla nas średnie, coś zawsze przekąsiliśmy ale nie jest to najsmaczniejsze, ratowaliśmy się trochę makaronem, który był codziennie z innymi dodatkami, czasem bardzo miękki ale można zasypać solą i parmezanem i jakoś to będzie ;) kilka razy trafiliśmy na coś fajniejszego, lepiej doprawionego jak np. klopsiki w sosie pomidorowym czy łosoś pieczony. Nie polecam za to zup, bardzo słabe, mdłe i wodniste. Dużym plusem były owoce i lody do kolacji. Napoje do kolacji płatne ale nie zaskoczyło nas to. Hotel jest położony w miejscowości Machico, która jak zauważliśmy po dwóch tygodniach, zwykle ściąga na siebie niesforną, chmurzastą pogodę. Byliśmy w sierpniu i padało około 5/6 razy, ale wystarczy wyjechać za Santa Cruz i już jest pięknie. Najbliższa kamienista plaża fajna do relaksu, złota kawałek dalej bardzo zatłoczona ale lepsza do kąpieli. W okolicy kilka knajpek, raczej kameralna mieścina. Obsługa hotelu bardzo miła i uprzejma.

Restauracja Jedzenie bardzo smaczne i urozmaicone kelnerzy przesympatyczni rozpoznali nas z ubiegłego roku i serdecznie przywitali uściskami, bardzo to miłe aż chętnie chce się wracać w to miejsce. Obsługa w recepcji bardzo mila uśmiechnięta i pomocna . Basen hotelowy czysty , animacje we wodzie bardzo fajne dla dzieci i dorosłych. Plaża piaszczysta blisko hotelu . Hotel czysty i dobrze wyposażony. Codziennie sprzątane pokoje i wymiana ręczników, mimo że nie były wskazane do wymiany. Jedzenie bardzo dobre i urozmaicone z wyjątkiem wędlin, które były te same. Jednak nie był to problem. Bardzo dużo owoców. Hotel nie ma własnej plaży, a najbliższa jest kamienista. Jednak jest basen i nigdy nie było problemu z leżakami czy parasolami.

Pobyt na 10 nocy w sierpniu 2024. Hotel odnowiony, ładny. Obok dwie plaże - kamienista i dalej piaszczysta. Pokój i łazienka duże, przestronne. Balkon w pokojach na piętrze. Szafa na ubrania, telewizor, stolik z krzesłami, klimatyzacja, mała lodówka, suszarka. Codzienne sprzątanie, wymieniane ręczniki. Obsługa bardzo życzliwa. Restauracja z pięknym widokiem na zatokę. Śniadania podobne każdego dnia, ale tak urozmaicone, że codziennie można było coś dobrać. Obiady w wersji mięsnej, rybnej, dodatki warzywne, sałatki. Codziennie była inna ryba. Wymeldowanie poszło sprawnie, mogłyśmy zostawić bagaże na zapleczu u obsługi i czekać w holu na transfer na lotnisko.

Lokalizacja hotelu niestety też na minus z uwagi na to, że miejscowsci w jakiej jest położony - Machico należy do najbardziej deszczowych na wyspie. Na 7 dni pobytu w hotelu tylko 2 dni było słońca, które umożliwiło pobyt nad basenem. W takiej sytuacji uratowały nas wycieczki fakultatywne. Codziennie rano zachmurzenie i opady. Blisko dwie plaże:kamienista z ciemnym piaskiem, z której częściej korzystali surferzy oraz piaszczysta z nawiezionym, żółtym piaskiem, bardzo ładna. Blisko do sklepów, do centrum miasteczka Machico. Pokój czysty, bardzo ładny. Mieliśmy piękny widok na ocean, miasteczko i góry z dziesiątego piętra. Obsluga miła. Na basenie, mimo wysokiego sezonu nie było dużego obłożenia. Plus za leżaki z osłoną głowy. Przed hotelem bardzo fajny deptak z ławeczkami na piękne widoki zatoki oraz urządzenia do ćwiczeń. Blisko przystanek autobusowy, którym dojedziemy na przykład do miasta Funchal. Od lotniska 10 minut autobusem.

Hotel sumarycznie oceniam pozytywnie. Jest to spory obiekt, w mojej ocenie bardzo czysty - sprzątanie codzienne i skrupulatne. Śniadania i obiadokolacje w formie szwedzkiego stołu, każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie, minusem obsługa w restauracji, która mogłaby być nieco milsza. Pokój również był w porządku, znajdziemy w nim wszystko co potrzebne, natomiast trzeba zaznaczyć, że ściany są cienkie. Plus dla hotelu za organizację animacji typu karaoke czy występów lokalnych artystów. Położenie hotelu świetne, nad plaża kamienistą i niedaleko piaszczystej. Dobra komunikacja chociażby do Funchal.

Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Along the canals many trekking routes of varying difficulty were created. Please bring: sports shoes, clothing suited to changing weather, drinks and lunch. The prices include transport and the care of an English-speaking mountain guide.
Levada Rabacal — level: average, approx. 13 km, trekking time: approx. 4 h, on the route: the high waterfall Risco and cascade "25 springs" consisting of many waterfalls, the UNESCO-protected laurel forest Laurissilva. Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear.
