Bardzo dobrym hotel. Największym jego atutem jest lokalizacja. Drugim obsługa. Fajne pokoje. Z minusów jedzenie. Śniadania skromne ale smaczne natomiast po kolacjach kilka razy czuliśmy się źle. Po rozmowach z innymi osobami też mieli dolegliwości po kolacjach. Powrót do Warszawy o 2 w nocy to męczarnia. Trzeba zarezerwować sobie jeden dzień na odpoczynek po nocnej podróży.

Przystawka, danie główne, deser z każdej pozycji jedno do wyboru. Forma podania, smak i obsługa była niesamowita. Najwyższa klasa hotelowa. Na dachu budynku znajdował się basen, jacuzzi oraz restauracja. Bardzo serdecznie polecam.

Hotel zasługuje na swoje 4 gwiazdki. Od samej recepcji, przez restauracje, aż po personel sprzątający czujesz się zaopiekowany. Syn w trakcie naszego pobytu tam miał urodziny i czekała na niego w pokoju niespodzianka w postaci torcika ze świeczką i życzeniami od załogi. Jedzenie bardzo smaczne , z dużym wyborem dań kuchni lokalnej, śródziemnomorskiej i wegańskiej. Na prośbę klienta przygotowują też określone danie. Przyjechaliśmy z lotniska po 21:00 i otrzymaliśmy kolację w hotelowym barze. Pokoje przestronne, dobrze wyposażone, czyste.Klimatyzacja, wi-fi działały bez problemu. Położenie hotelu w samym centrum Funchal, stąd wszędzie było blisko. Wypożyczalnia samochodów współpracująca z Itaką też w pobliżu - korzystaliśmy i polecamy. Dobrze działa komunikacja miejska,dzięki czemu zwiedziliśmy kilka miejscowości ( bilety kupuje się u kierowcy).Wycieczki oferowane przez Itakę warte polecenia- szczególnie te do dalszych rejonów Madery. Z całego serca polecam !

Z hotelu byliśmy bardzo zadowoleni i chętnie wybierzemy się do niego ponownie. Jest niewielki, klimatyczny, butikowy, z bardzo dobrą kuchnią. Ma basen i jacuzzi na szczycie dachu skąd są rewelacyjne widoki. Jest też niewielkie SPA. Miła i pomocna obsługa. Wypoczynkowa atmosfera spokoju. Hotel jest rewelacyjnie położony przy klimatycznej uliczce na starym mieście Funchal. Wszędzie bliziutko, można całymi dniami powoli delektować się tym uroczym miastem. Do portu 10 minut pieszo, można łatwo wybierać się na rozmaite rejsy. Jeżeli jednak ktoś jedzie na wakacje aby wylegiwać się na plaży albo ma małe dzieci dla których ważny jest plac zabaw i basen to nie jest to optymalny wybór.

W hotelu zastępczym dostaliśmy pokój maleńki ok.13 m w wydzieloną w tej przestrzeni szklaną ścianą miejsca na łazienkę i to był pokój bez okna!

To najlepszy hotel , w którym byłam . Pokoje bardzo przestronne i codziennie sprzątane . Brakowało trochę balkonu . Jedzenie przepyszne i wykwitnie podane z wielką dbałością o szczegóły . Mnóstwo regionalnych owoców, wędlin , słodkich przekąsek , serów i soków.. Kolację to już istna poezja - po prostu wspaniałe . Każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie . Plaże w Funchal nie przypadły mi do gustu . Jednak nie po to przyjechałam . Basen i jacuzzi na dachu to rewelacyjny pomysł . Panoramę całego Funchal mamy jak na dłoni , fantastyczne miejsce. Obsługa bardzo pomocna i profesjonalna . Służy pomocą we wszystkim czego potrzebujesz . Chętnie tam wrócimy .

The centre of the island — cable car ride over the rooftops of the city of Funchal to the Monthe hill. Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. A visit to the heritage park of traditional houses with thatched roofs in the village of Santana, admiring the cliff landscape of the peninsula of St Lawrence, vantage points with a panorama of Eagle Rock, the islands of Porto Santo, Desertas and the runway of the airport supported on 180 columns. Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear. Price - from approx. 43 EUR (includes: transport, supervision of a Polish-speaking guide, lunch at the farm).
