Endless beaches of white sand, the Atlantic Ocean, which is in contact with the island turns a turquoise colour and shines with a palette of shades, pensive landscapes – the treasures of Fuerteventura. The beaches are perfect for all: safe for the youngest, reverberating in silence for those who love peace and quiet, full of opportunities for amateurs of watersports.

Fuerteventura is 22 million years old, it is the oldest, longest and second-largest island of the Canarian Archipelago. Its coastline is 340 km long, of which a large part are dreamlike beaches. The sand on the beaches is blown straight from the Sahara – it is only 115 km to Africa from here! The temperature that maintains at approx. 22°C all year round, excellent conditions for windsurfing and beautiful landscapes make the island a fantastic place for holidays. Its central part is fascinating mountain landscapes, on the west it is mostly a cliff coast, the most beautiful beaches are on the east. Tourists can visit the Jandia peninsula, in the south of Fuerteventura. On its east coast there are popular holiday centres: Costa Calma and Morro Jable. Costa Calma boasts the longest beaches on the island, including the famous Playa Barca, along which high-class hotels are located. There are several shopping centers here, with restaurants and bars, colourful market are held here once a week. Amateurs of jogging and the increasingly popular Nordic walking appear on the beaches the earliest each morning, then fans of simply relaxing on the beach arrive. Costa Calma beaches are a part of Playas de Jandia stretching along the east coast of the peninsula of Jandia. Sotavento Beach – i.e. leeward, approx. 5 km long and a few hundred metres wide, which varies during the tides - this is the flagship of Fuerteventura. Thanks to favourable winds it is the site of world championships in various categories of windsurfing and a paradise for enthusiasts of this sport at all levels of proficiency. The well-known windsurfing and kitesurfing school is located here - Rene Egli. In the south lies the large resort of Morro Jable, built around the former fishing village and port. The terrific Matorral beach of white sand is over 4 km long, a boardwalk runs along it with bars, cafés, shops and restaurants. The lighthouse divides the beach into a part for the nudists and a part for the dressed. Not far from the island's capital Puerto del Rosario and airport, is Caleta de Fuste, also called Costa Caleta, with a lovely and safe beach in a bay, with a light imported sand, recommended to families with children. There aren't any strong currents or winds here that are characteristic of Sotavento. The short transfer from the airport is also an advantage for those travelling with young children. Shops, boutiques, bars, cafes and restaurants are concentrated near the small port and El Castillo - a building from the 18th century, the symbol of the town. In the area there is an 18-hole golf course. In the north of the island is Corralejo, a well-known holiday spot. You can find here the atmosphere of a former fishing village, near the port there are plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. In the centre of the village are calm beaches popular with families with children, further south beautiful beaches of fine sand stretch out and wind-sculpted dunes. Like each of the Canary islands, Fuerteventura has its typical foods and products. Connoseuirs value the terrific goat's cheeses, which are present in many varieties. The popular liqueur is ron miel, produced on the basis of rum and palm honey. Great aloe products - creams, gels, extracts – are gladly purchased due to the medicinal and cosmetic properties.
