Region in south-west Italy, situated in the highest part of the Italian Alps. Val 'Aosta lies in the shadow of the peaks of Mont Blanc, Cervino and Monte Rosa, it offers unforgettable views. The very well prepared ski runs are available for almost 6 months and supported by a modern and very efficient artificial snow system. The city of Aosta is called the Alpine Rome, because its history goes back to the glory of the Roman Empire. Around Aosta across the entire valley there are many Roman ruins and Medieval castles. The region is famous for its delicious cooking and high-quality wines.

One of the most well-known ski complexes is Pila, built on the slopes of Monte Emilius on the model of French stations. Pila lies at an altitude of 1800 m a.s.l. City of La Thuile, situated at 1450 m above sea level, is an ideal proposition for those looking for a peaceful rest after skiing. In addition, the resort provides a unique opportunity for a skiing trip in two countries at once, because the ski station at La Thuile-La Rosiere is located on the Italian-French border. All the lifts are also covered by one Ski Pass.

Courmayeur, located at an altitude of 1216 m a.s.l., at the end of Aosta Valley, at the foot of Mont Blanc, connected by the famous tunnel with the French Chamonix, it belongs to the most prestigious ski stations and Italian resorts. The well prepared slopes, beautiful views and excellent snow conditions attract skiers here. The town has a lovely old town with several restaurants and shops. The main ski terrains are Plan Chécrouit and Val Veny. There is a cablecar that runs to Plan Chécrouit from Courmayeur, which reaches the highest point of this area Testa d’Arp (2756 m a.s.l.) with a view on Mont Blanc. You can get to Val Veny by ski lifts from Plan Chécrouit and from the nearby town Entrèves. From the ski lift Palud near Entrèves, you can get to Punta Helbronner in the massif Mont Blanc, from where the famous ski run to Chamonix runs.
