Hotel jest bardzo pięknie położony koło mariny w Ponta Delgada. Jest z niego blisko do historycznej części stolicy wyspy, w pobliżu jest również dużo sklepów, barów i restauracji oraz wypożyczalni samochodów. Miejsce jest bardzo dobre jako baza wypadowa do zwiedzania wyspy. Na przeciwko hotelu koło mariny znajduje się basen oceaniczny oraz baseny publiczne. Kolejny basen oceaniczny z opieką ratownika jest ok 2,5 km, najbliższa piaszczysta plaża od hotelu znajduje się ok. 3,2 km. Ok 4 km od hotelu (idąc promenadą nad oceanem) jest położona bardzo szeroka piaszczysta plaża z ciemnym piaskiem o bardzo łagodnym wejściu do Oceanu. Przy plażach oraz basenach są łazienki oraz przebieralnie. Pokoje są czyste, z balkonem i ładnym widokiem na ocean. Jedzenie jest smaczne i zawiera dużo elementów regionalnych (bardzo smaczne sery żółte i nabiał z Azorów, tradycyjne pieczywo, herbata azoryjska Gorreana), jedynym minusem jest małe urozmaicenie śniadań. Na kolacje jest podawany zawsze posiłek mięsny i rybny, bardzo smaczne wypieki.

W mojej ocenie hotel nie zasługuje na cztery gwiazdki. Przede wszystkim ze względu na łazienkę oraz balkon, które czas świeżości mają już dawno za sobą. Brakuje również atrakcji w postaci SPA. Dodatkowo, pomimo dobrego jedzenia, śniadania były mało urozmaicone (przykład kolacji pokazuje, iż kucharz ma szeroką paletę dań).

Minus to brak pokoju z widokiem na morze - w recepcji powiedziano nam, że brak takowych, choć pokazałem umowę ze stosownym zapisem; nie powiadamiałem o tym fakcie Pani rezydentki, bo nie chciałem robić zamieszania, ale widok z okna na remontowany budynek obok hotelu był przygnębiający.

Hotel ładnie położony, pokoje zadbane i czyste. Mały basen wewnątrz hotelu, okna na ulicę i duże natężenie hałasu trochę przeszkadzają, choć widok na ocean rekompensuje tą niedogodność. Zamieszanie przy przydzielaniu pokoi (trzeba było interweniować aby dostać wykupiony pokój z widokiem na ocean) zrobiły kiepskie wrażenie na początku, ale obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna przez cały czas pobytu. Hotel nie oferuje wielu atrakcji, ale poprzez swoje położenie jest świetną bazą wypadową: plaża, promenada i centrum miasta, znakomity dojazd autem do wszystkich miejsc na wyspie. Do tego bardzo dobre jedzenie. Jeśli planuje się aktywny wypoczynek, a nie spędzanie czasu w hotelu (basen, siłownia itd.) to jest to idealny hotel.

Ogólnie hotel prezenuje się nawet lepiej niż na zdjęciach w katalogu, jednak łazienka była stara, a meble nie były pierwszej świeżości. Minusem był też stary balkon i plastikowe meble na nim. Widok na port za to bardzo ładny. Dodatkowo: świetne usytuowanie, blisko do centrum i na publiczne baseny. Darmowy podziemny parking dla samochodów - to też duży plus. Jedzenie zdecydowanie słabe jak na hotel 4*. Przez pierwszą część pobytu brak jakichkolwiek warzyw do śniadania. Wyżywienie było zdecydowanie największą słabą stroną wyjazdu.
